Whoosh across an Icelandic glacier on a snowmobile
The action starts right away with a fun snowmobile ride to the Mýrdalsjökull glacier. So that you know, you will be heading straight to the monster volcano Katla which lurks beneath the beautiful and serene glacier. If that does not help to get the adrenaline pumping, I don’t know what will. You might be more familiar with the vast volcano that lurks beneath the glacier next to Mýrdalsjökull, the fearsome Eyjafjallajökull volcano. When you are done racing across the majestic ice-sheet of Mýrdalsjökull, you will head back to Reykjavik. On the way, you will experience the iconic waterfalls of Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss. It is essential to bring crampons or, at the very least good hiking boots if you intend to venture behind the waterfall in winter.
