Dramatic destinations

The Volcano ATV tour takes you to Prestvik cove. Prestvik is the site of the tragic stranding of the fishing vessel Pelagus in 1982. You will head to the site where the Icelandic national hero Guðlaugur Friðþórsson came to shore after his harrowing 5-6 kilometers (3 miles) swim after the fishing boat he was on capsized and sank. These events, which took place in 1984, are the inspiration for the Icelandic film Djúpið, The Deep, starring Ólafur Darri Ólafsson. The tour will also bring you to the volcano Eldfell, which erupted in 1973. The view from Eldfell is just incredible.

A great way for the family to explore the Westman Islands

This is a family-friendly tour, and the minimum age of passengers is six years. Furthermore, the two persons ATVs have automatic transmissions and are easy to drive. All you need is a valid driving license. A guide will accompany you on the tour, and you will receive waterproof overalls, gloves, and a helmet
