The Sky Lagoon spa is located near downtown Reykjavik. Here, you can experience authentic Icelandic luxury with unparalleled calmness and relaxation. Visiting the Sky Lagoon is, therefore, one of the best ways to end a cruise through Europe. This beautifully designed outdoor spa is open for rest and rejuvenation all year and is such a hot destination that you will want to make a reservation well in advance.

Getting to the Sky Lagoon Spa from Keflavik airport or Reykjavik city

It is a 15-minute drive from the Reykjavik city center to the Sky Lagoon. From Keflavik International Airport, it takes about 44 minutes to reach the Sky Lagoon by car. Parking is free, and they even have charging stations for electric vehicles. If you have not rented a car, you can book a ticket with a shuttle service. A Taxi is also an option. You can book a taxi with Hopp (app required) or Hreyfill taxi services which you can call on 0354 588822.

Age limit and accessibility for people in wheelchairs

The Sky Lagoon has a age limit of 12 years. Children aged 12 – 14 must have a guardian with them, aged 18 or older. I must complement the Sky Lagoon of having fully accessible facilities for people in wheelchairs.

Booking tickets

Tickets should be booked online. Keep in mind that you book a ticket at the Sky Lagoon  a specific time of the day. It is recommended that you stay for about 1.5 – 2 hours. Remember to stay hydrated during your time in the lagoon.

Tickets can be booked for 3 options. The “Sky” experience will give you access to the premium package that includes The Ritual and private changing facilities. To get a more classic touch, select the “Pure” package and those who are pressed for time can choose the “Pure Lite” package.

Before getting into the lagoon

Before you get into the Sky Lagoon you must shower naked (I don’t make the rules!) This is a requirement for all Icelandic spas and swimming pools and it is strictly enforced for everybody’s hygine! Don’t worry, the spa has private showers and private changing area. Wear the swimsuit before leaving the changing room. You can either bring your own or rent or buy from the reception.

Keep your belongings in your locker. You will receive a wristband which both works as a locker key, and a way to purchase drinks at the bar.
