Stuck in Iceland went to Akureyri, the jewel of the north over the Easter weekend. Akureyri has a lot to offer, endless opportunities for outdoor activities, a vibrant culture scene and some good restaurants. Some were a disappointment this time around, but two new ones really impressed us. The legendary Indian curry hut has been relocated and has a new name: Indian Curry House. Now they have seating but it used to be takeaway only. It delivers on solid curries, poppadoms and naan bread. We also found our new favorite café in Akureyri.
Excellent Food
But the real find this time around was a lovely little lunch/breakfast/brunch place called Berlín. Situated just around the corner from the main square, this cozy little café has a vibrant environment, nice decorations and the brunch was excellent!

Book a hotel and a flight to Iceland
This time we went for the healthy option
We chose the avocado, smoked salmon and poached egg dish, with a nice slice of toast and a lovely spicy sauce on the side. That, as well as the greek yogurt with blueberries and granola tasted really good.

Perfect caffeine and vitamin C fixes in our favorite café in Akureyri
The coffee was perfect, and they serve jars of freshly squeezed orange juice for your vitamin C fix. Service was quick and friendly and the place was packed. Everything people around us were having also looked very tasty, I am for sure having some bacon next time round!
Definately our new favorite café in Akureyri, we really recommend it!
