The world is still in the grips of the Coronavirus pandemic, and it is unclear when people can start travelling to Iceland again. I can see that the traffic on the magazine has dropped to about one-third of what it was before the pandemic hit. I am disappointed by this. My magazine had been growing fast, and I was getting great feedback from both my content and the discount promo codes for top-rated Iceland tours.

Subscribe to my newsletter for exclusive discount codes that will give you savings on 150 Iceland tours and travel services.

Feeling fortunate in Iceland

But of course, this is nothing compared to the global loss of life and suffering caused by the epidemic. I am incredibly fortunate compared to most other people. The response by the Icelandic health authorities has been both professional and measured. As I have said before, scientists and professionals are managing the crisis. Politicians have very wisely allowed them to run the show. If you want to keep up with the current status of the pandemic in Iceland, this official website is the best source of information on the Coronavirus situation.

Keeping busy

I am now, of course, concentrating on my job for the leading fintech company Meniga. I also signed up for a demanding online course in product management on Udacity; after all, I am a fierce believer in regular professional and personal renewal. It is also very important to keep in shape. So I am sticking to my workout routine while staying at home.

Let’s support each other

I was listening to the excellent podcaster Mike Duncan while on a bike ride today. He urged his listeners who have disposable to support artists, local businesses, and charities who support those who are experiencing hardships due to the Coronavirus and its economic impact. He also urged those who are in need to reach out for help. I can only echo this; we will only get through this together.

And yes, Stuck in Iceland Travel Magazine will return!
