How do I choose the travel companies that offer discount codes in Iceland?
Since 2012, I’ve been sharing my passion for Iceland with travelers from around the world. Along the way, I’ve built a community of people who love this country as much as I do, and I’ve gotten to know many of Iceland’s top tour operators and guides personally. The discount codes you’ll find here come from around 50 partners across the Icelandic travel industry—ranging from adventure tours and glacier hikes to camper van rentals, car rentals, and the iconic Ring Road drive. Have I ‘fired’ a tour operator?
Yes, once. I learned that a whale watching company was offering tours to an area in Faxaflói Bay, just outside Reykjavik. They took their guests to a zone where they were licensed to have 12 people on board, but had 50 people on board. I immediately took them off my partner list.
Have I ever gotten negative feedback about a tour from my list?
Yes. Once. A lady emailed me that a tour, which she had not discovered on Stuck in Iceland, had not started on time. Thousands of people have used my code since 2019, and this is the only negative feedback I have ever had. I have to admit that I expected to receive a lot more negative feedback when I first started using my discount codes. But certainly helps to choose the partners well.
